This session is focused on strategies teachers can use to encourage the inclusion of all students, including those with challenging behaviors. The first part of the session will focus on positive therapeutic supports and other positive classroom management strategies. The second part of the session will focus on scenarios to practice how to implement the inclusive strategies learned. By the end of the session, participants will be able to identify positive classroom management interventions they can bring back to their own classrooms in order to provide the appropriate supports for all students to achieve success in the general education setting. The session will be geared towards teachers at the Elementary level.
